How Darn Near Perfect Cigar Ashtray Came to Be
My inspiration was out of disappointment. I ordered an all-natural wooden cigar ashtray from a trusted website. What arrived was a small, shallow, high-gloss, odd-color, light-weight ashtray that couldn’t accommodate a Gordo or Churchill sized cigar! I contacted the seller to be told what they send customers is completely random and they would not exchange the ashtray!
Hence Darn Near Perfect Cigar Ashtray was born!
Why do I call it darn near perfect? Because it’s capabilities in handling multiple cigars are perfect but the appearance is imperfect beauty; we’ve preserved as much of the wood’s natural integrity and is completely made by hand. Each ashtray is unique in size, shape and natural wood grain.
- Approximately 2-inch-deep bowl hold the ashes from multiple cigars (reducing the need to empty).
- Straight sides and flat bottom bowl minimizes wind blowing out ashes.
- Roughly half inch deep cigar slots keeps your resting cigar secure.
- FLAT cigar slot bottoms! Which is perfect for box pressed cigars!
- Deep cigar slots eliminates the balancing act when laying your cigar down to rest.
- Cigar slot bottom is perpendicular to the table or angled slightly towards the bowl preventing your cigar from falling on your table, accidental burns or ashes outside the bowl.
- Heat resistant and chemical resistant top and bowl finish which is easy to clean and doesn’t discolor.
The Imperfections:
- Each ashtray is made by hand. The bowls are unique shapes that best serves the overall shape of the wood and displays the unique coloring of the grain.
- To bark or not to bark…that depends on the tree your ashtray is made from. While some ashtrays have bark on all sides, others have partial bark and some ashtrays are just plain naked. We don’t judge.
