What are your ashtrays made of? Do you use real wood to make them?

Yes, every ashtray is made from a real piece of wood. The interior and the top are finished with a chemical polyurethane, resistant to heat. The sides and bottom are finished in a spar urethane finish.

What are the main characteristics of your ashtrays?

Most of our ashtrays have a 2” deep bowl, which makes them perfect for holding ash from multiple smokers. The cigar slots are flat to hold a cigar box pressed muchmore securely than a round cigar slot. Plus, round cigars fit perfectly in a square slot.

Can I store your ashtrays outside?

Best to store them indoors,but if you’re going to keep it outside,make sure to turn it upside down when not in use, so water doesn’t accumulate inside.

How difficult is it to clean them?

Real easy to clean. You can just rinse it under the sink and then wipe it dry. no detergents or soap needed.

How long can I expect my ashtray to last?

If you take good care of it and do not allow water to freeze and thaw in it,an ashtray should last a lifetime.

Why should I choose a wooden ashtray over a ceramic or glass one?

One of the main advantages of wooden ashtrays is that it is pretty darn hard to break and if you do break it, it’s not going to cut or hurt anyone like a ceramic or glass ashtray would.

What can I do to keep my ashtray as good as new?

To keep your ashtray looking brand new there’s one thing you need to do and two things you should avoid. 1st thing, rent it out after every use and dry it. The two common errors to avoid are, smashing a cigar out or leaning a smoking cigar into the bowl. Leave your cigar perpendicular to the bowl in the slot when not smoking it. If you smash it out or have the hot cigar leaning into the bowl it might leave a scorch mark on the finish.
